Welcome to Be The Change.

Speaking out about social injustices is not just a trend that should start and stop when a hashtag does. It is a matter of human rights, of people's livelihood and simply what is right and wrong.

In June 2020 a Google Drive was set up as a space to share resources to spread awareness and express creative solutions for the Black Lives Matter movement. It was a place for people to take and use content as they wanted. This evolved into a platform for educational resources, where people shared things they were reading, watching and listening to and petitions they were signing.

This inspired us to find out more about everyday systemic racism. We used the answers we discovered to inform a video addressing some of the things people don't always realise are racist. A passing comment to one can be a lifelong scar to someone else.

This space will continue to be a place to come for resources. Black Lives Matter isn't just a hashtag on social media. It's a problem in the real world that people are forced to deal with everyday.

Racism is still an institutional problem. Only when everyone accepts and admits that it is a problem for the whole of society can we work together  to make significant, positive change. You can do that by learning, speaking out and showing your support.
