SPEAK OUT

Using your voice is one of the most important and effective

ways to fight racism.

Use your voice to help raise awareness. Share resources and information you’ve found with friends, family and your community.

Stand up and challenge everyday racism and discrimination. If you see or hear someone making a joke, being stereotypical or insensitive – stand up and speak out. Talk it out in a calm manner, a simple “hey man, that’s not cool to say” or taking them to one side to discuss it further can make a huge difference.

“In a racist society it is not enough to be non-racist,

we must be anti-racist.”
― Angela Y. Davis

Report racism and discrimination when you see it online, offline, in the work place or at school. Don’t let it slide.

Use that voice to show support, take a stand, educate, discuss and learn. Being white means you have white privilege and for those without a voice, you can use yours to support and elevate them.

We know it can be hard to speak out sometimes and difficult to know where to start. To help, we have supplied links to petitions and campaigns where by using your voice you can help make a difference. Just click the petitions button below.
